Hello, I'm David Walter and I'm a full time real estate professional. I grew up here in Tulsa. I graduated from Bishop Kelley and OSU with a degree in Political Science and Economics.
After OSU I worked in Washington for Congressman Bill Brewster. That was a lot a fun, but not nearly as much fun as teaching English in Japan.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing Frisbee golf, traveling, and spending time with friends. I try to take pleasure from the simple things in life like a rich cup of coffee, and good conversations with friends.
In 2002, I got into real estate and mortgages because I knew I could make a positive impact for my clients.
To succeed in this business you have to be good with numbers and navigating through large, bureaucratic systems, (Economics) and you also have to be good with people so you can understand their needs (Political Science.) People don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care.
One thing I have learned in the last 7 years is that there are a lot of sharks in this business. The most important requirement for success is integrity. Never promise something you can't deliver. Always put your client's interests first and sometimes you have to kick a little butt to keep the other side honest.
I'll admit that I'm a pretty strict when it comes to integrity, but the way I look at it, you have integrity ALL of the time or NONE of the time.
Most people don't know that 19 out of 20 realtors and loan officers don't last 2 years in this business. I've been doing this for 7 years and I know how to get things done. I want my clients to feel comfortable sending their friends and family to me because they know I keep my promises.
If you want to work with a touchy feely realtor who says things like "Ohh these chartreuse blinds are a lovely match for your lavender loveseat..." then I am probably not the right person for you. If you want a real professional who does their homework, shows you the options, and will help you make the right decisions for your family, then I hope you will get in touch with me today.
